RIIb, former street car conductor, who is now out on $1000 bail for having failed to comply with the registration and conscription law, will have his namo placed In tho draft wheel and will have to stand his chances with othor American citizens In being called to the front. His conscientious scruples against war had no weight with the department of justice, for yesterday the attorney general of the United Slates ordered Leon Bone to register Itils and to send a card containing con-taining his name to Washington and ono to the local board. His name will go Into the wheel with all the rest. A number will be given him and If drafted draft-ed he will have to go before the local exemption board and make his claim. Orders to register Rils whether he objected or not were received by Mr. Bone yesterday. He at once went to the Hils residence and presented the registration card. Questions were asked, but Rils refused to answer, and also refused to sign the card. The card was signed by Mr. Bone for him. Rils will be presented with ono of the green cards as soon as a number is assigned him. nn |
