Show FOUR HUNDRED SI! BOYS TD BE' SEEN 1PE The soldiers are promised a royal reception when they come to Ogden next Saturday to take part in the Harvest Festival. Ralph E. Bristol has accepted the position as chairman of the refreshment committee. There will be about 400 soldiers In all, consisting con-sisting of batteries B and C and the regimental band. Mr. Bristol has selected se-lected his corps of assistants in serving serv-ing the refreshments. A formal Invitation was sent Colonel Young this morning in behalf of the soldiers. Supplies for the banquet, which is to be served at the depot, will be furnished largely by the Utah Canning company and the Ogden Packing Pack-ing & Provision company. The work of organizing the line of march is under the direction of Dr. Relnhold Kanzler, chairman of the parade pa-rade committee. Several bapds are expected to be in the parade and these will havo to 'bo arranged for. A special train will bring the soldiers sol-diers from Salt Lake to Ogden over the Bamberger electric. On arrival here they will partake of the refreshments refresh-ments and will then be ready for the parade. They will pass through the business section, some of the residence resi-dence districts and thence to Glen-wood Glen-wood park, where the troops will perform per-form a number of military evolutions, Some of the drill teams of local lodges will also be seen. Following this will be given the magnificent spectacle, "The Bombardment of Verdun," Admission will be charged for this part of the entertainment, the pro ceeds to go to the mess fund of battery bat-tery B. |
