Show CONFUSION RESULTS IN CASE OF WOMAN MO IS Hi Jano Doe, arrested late last night by Detective Walter Moore for being drunk, was up for trial today. Tho question as to whether the municipal court had jurisdiction over the case slnco the prohibition law went into effect, ef-fect, caused a lengthy debate among the lawyers. The question is based on the problem prob-lem as to whether the city has Jurisdiction Jur-isdiction or whether the new law does not throw tho cases of drunkenness under un-der tho jurisidlction of the state. To be on the safe side, Judge Barker Bar-ker Instructed County Attorney C. L. Farr to draw up another complaint, which places the case under state Jurisdiction. Jur-isdiction. He then took the matter under un-der advisement until tomorrow, that he might think the mattor over and become satisfied as to whether ho had the right to proceed. If ho had no jurisdiction to try the case, he had no right to fix the amount of bail.
