Show Logan Society One of the prominent social affairs of the week was the marriage on Friday Fri-day In the Logan Temple of Miss Jessie Jes-sie Eccles and Seymour Qulnney. In the evening a large wedding reception was held at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Ellen Eccles, on Center street. Mr. and Mrs. Quinney will leave soon for Cambridge, Mass., where Mr. Quinney will continue his studies at the university. Miss Eccles and Miss Margaret Nib-ley Nib-ley were two honored guests at an elaborately appointed tea given Sunday Sun-day evening by the Misses Ruth and Victoria Howell at the home of Congressman Con-gressman and Mrs. Howell on First North street. The decorations were attractively carried out in a color scheme of pink and white throughout the house and in the details of the refreshments. re-freshments. About seventy-five guests called during the hours from 3 until 6 o'clock. On Monday, Miss Eccles entertained about fifty guests at a trousseau tea given at her home on Center street. Mrs. E. G. Peterson entertained her bridge club Wednesday afternoon at her home on College hill. The Ladles' Aid of tho Methodist church gave a picnic party Friday afternoon aft-ernoon for the church members on the B. Y. campus. About fifty were in attendance. Mrs. George Bell entertained at a luncheon Monday afternoon in compliment compli-ment to her guest, Miss Geneveive Jenkins. Mrs. Robert M. Smith chaperoned a party of six at a week end at the Richards' camp in Logan cayon. The following composed the party: Miss Eva Cederlund, Miss Gladys Smith, Miss LaPerll Bell, Miss Luella Owen and Miss Ordella Smith. Miss Grace Cardon was hostess this afternoon at a luncheon given at her homo In compliment to Miss Margaret Worley, who has just returned from a year spent in New York, studying music and Mrs. Burns Crookston of Rexburg, Ida., who is a guest In the city. A color scheme of yellow was used in all the decorations and details of the menu. Miss Etta Nielson entertained Tuesday Tues-day afternoon at a lunchedn in honor of Miss Eliza Shorne and Miss Oris-ser Oris-ser Briton who are visiting in Logan from Sprlngvllle. Miss Dolcie Anderson entertained twenty guests on Tuesday in honor of Miss Ivy Cliver Larsen, a bride of the month. Miss Delia Morrell has returned from Berkley, Col., where she has been attending summer school. Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Adams entertained enter-tained informally at dinner Monday evening at their home on East First north. A crystal bowl of pink roses formed the centerpiece. Covers were laid for eight The Vonna Lu club met Thursday at the home of Miss Evelyn Bollff. The Delta Phi club will meet today at the home of Miss Ellen Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Hilmer Pederson have as their house guests, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mork of Murray. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Ross of Ogden wore the guests of Mrs. M. E. Hanks on Sunday. ' Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Gwilliams and Dr. and Mrs. Dumke of Ogden will be guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Nebeker on Sunday. Mrs. Frank Hanks has returned from a month's visit in Ogden where she was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Ross. Mr. George M. Cannon was a visitor in Logan during the week. Dr. and Mrs. Alonzo Squires and Mrs. Lettie Thatcher have returned from a two weeks' automobile trip to Yellowstone park. Mrs. S. B. Needham and small son have returned from a visit in Hunts-ville. Thompson and daughter, Elsea and Helen spent the week at Boar Lake. Miss Anna Taylor who has been visiting vis-iting with friends for a week in Logan has returned to her home In Provo. Mrs. Roy S. McAlester and small son, Dix, will spend next week in Salt Lake guests at tho home of Dr. and Mrs. J. H. Allen. Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Eccles have returned re-turned from a two weeks' trip to Bear Lake. Lieut. Wallace McAlester, Lieut. H. B. Johnson, Lieut Eastman Hatch and Lieut I. L. McAlister returned to Logan Lo-gan Friday evening from the officers training camp in San Francisco. They will be here about one week before leaving for their new posts. Dr. J. S. Calderwood left Monday for a two weeks' trip through Utah and Idaho. Miss Francis Richards will leave oa Monday for Salt Lake to remain dur-ing dur-ing the winter. Mrs. Mary Crismon of Salt Lake is the guest for several weeks of Mr. and Mrs. George W.
