Show BARBERS CONSIDER ADVANCE IN PRICES Salt Lake, Nov. 28. As result of a meeting of barbers held last night at tho shop of C. G. Wirick, a general advance in the price of barber work probably will be made by the leading barber shops of the city in the near future. However, owing to the fact that not all of the leading shop proprietors pro-prietors were present at the meeting, definite action was not taken. The matter is to be considered further at another meeting, it is announced, before be-fore revision of the price schedule is finally acted upon. There is some division of opinion among the barbers, too, as to the exact ex-act amount of advance that should be made in the scale. Some favor advancing ad-vancing the price of shaves from 15 cents to 20 cents, with 5 cents extra for neck shave, while others favor an advance to 25 cents flat, with or without with-out neck shave. It is understood that the former advance probably will be made. Tho price of haircuts Is scheduled to advance to 40 or 50 cents and that of shampoos from 35 cents to 50 cents. Just what the advance will be on haircuts hair-cuts is yet to bo determined. Face massages, which have been 35 cents I heretofore, are due for an advance to I 50 cents, if present plans carry. |
