Show w ANOTHERRECORD Wins Vanderbill Cup in Road Race Beats Previous Record Rec-ord by Eleven Miles. Santa Monica, Nov. 16. Darlo Ros-ta Ros-ta won today the Vanderbllt cup for the second successive time; broke the Vanderbllt automobile road race record rec-ord by 11 miles, with an average speed of 86.98 miles an hour for the 294.035 miles; set a now world's road race record, rec-ord, and took the lead in the American Ameri-can Automobile association's $13,500 contest for the title of "champion driver of America." Iota's time was 3:22:48.4. It was a race unmarred by injury or death to contestants. Tho three leaders broke the previous previ-ous world's road race record made on the same course by Teddy Tetzlaff in 1912, with an average of 78.72 miles an hour. The three who finished next In order to Resta were: Earl Cooper, second, 3:30:40.4. William Welghtraan, third 3:42:00.4. Roads, fourth, 3:54:45.4.
