Show ; Chicago Grain Chicago, June 11. Wet weather in the southwest lifted wheat prices to-da to-da regardless of fresh declines at Liverpool. Strong Interests here took the surplus off the market Reports from Kansas said close examination of the crop seemed to show that filling fill-ing had made no headway and that the outlook was more unfavorable than had been supposed. After opening open-ing 7-8 off to l-4c up, the market here rose more than 2c above last night before beginning to react. Com ascended with wheat. Be... sides field conditions were generally against the bears Opening prices, whlcb varied from 3-8 to 1c advance, were followed by moderate additional upturns Oats took the same course as other grain The feature was active short covering presumably for a large speculator spec-ulator Lower quotations for hogs weakened provisions. Declines, however, were not of a radical sort. A sharp break carried the wheat market to a new low price for the crop Exporters were said to be per Bistently holding off. Later, however, howev-er, announcement of some European business here caused a rally. The close was strong at 1 to 2 1 4c above last night. Reports that the corn crop was getting get-ting a late start in many of the chief producing states helped later to prevent pre-vent any decided setback for prices.
