Show BASEBMGMS ANGELS AND SEALS Los Angeles. Cal., April 18. One apiece, the usual Sunday dose, was the result of today's double affair between be-tween the Seals and Angels. In the morning the Seals took the game 3 to 2, principally because Bill Abstein was glued to third base In the eighth and failed to score on a long fly to left, coupled with one of the worst throws homeward seen here in a long time. Everybody saw it except ex-cept Bill, and he stayed right where he was with the tying run, Los Angeles An-geles missed its chance to tie the score and win In the afternoon it waa different though it also happened in the eighth. The Angels had been trailing along with the score 5 to 1 against them, until this auspicious moment arose, when they suddenly woke up and lit onto young Barham with such an onslaught on-slaught that the kid was in a hole before he knew it. After three were on with none down, Baum took Bar-ham's Bar-ham's place, and he lasted Just long enough to pitch to two batters. Harper, the first, slammed the pill up against the center field fence for a triple, clearing. the bags and Hughes the second to face Baum singled, scoring Harper, and going to second on the throw in. That ended Charles Hub Pernoll was then trotted out, and kept the hits down, but couldn't prevent pre-vent Hughes from 6corlng the winning win-ning run on two outs. Long Tom pitched the last frame like a wild man, and the Seals never had a look In so the Angels quit the week with the series 5 to 2 lo their favor, whJch speaks pretty wn tor Dillon's old folks' home aggregation, In fact, no one here suspected it could be done.
