Show ELKS CELEBRATE TIE El OF HAT CLUB TOW Ogden lodge No. 719, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will observe ob-serve the passing of the good year "1916" and the near approach of another an-other year of great promiso tonight at the Elks' home on Grant avenue. Though tho date of the celebration is not in exact accord with the calendar, calen-dar, it will be a New Year's evo party in all that tho spirit of such an event implies, with tho one exception that it will bo brought to an earlier close than in past years for an obvious reason. rea-son. The committee in charge of the event is composed of Walter Herrick, chairman; Robert Hoggan, W. T. Greenwell, P. C. Richardson, Ernest Stone and Ernest Dahlin. Thoir aim, in making tho arrangements, has been to provide an entertainment for their brother Elks and ladies, that will be a lasting memory of the passing pass-ing of the present year. In general, eht program of the evening win include in-clude a sumptuous buffet luncheon, dancing in the lodge ballroom and on the mezzanine balcony and a special musical entertainment by professional profession-al singers and Instrumentalists on the main floor. The social will be of an entirely informal nature, "just dress as you like, you know," and the guest "list will be strictly confined to members of the local lodge, visiting Elk lodges and their ladles. The Elks home has been decorated in carnival designs and the fun will begin at 9 o'clock. |
