Show MAS01C CLUB HAS BEEN FORMED IN THIS CITY At an enthusiastic meeting of about fifty members of Weber and Unity lodges of this city, held last night at tho Masonic temple, tho Masonic Ma-sonic club of Ogden City, vwas organized organ-ized with an initial charter membership member-ship of 125. The purpose of the club is to promote pro-mote social intercourse among its members, and bring about a better and moro thorough understanding of Masonry. The organization expects to start immediately to fit up club and social rooms in the Masonic temple, tem-ple, which will be open to local members mem-bers as well as those residing outside of the city. It was decided to hold the charter open until the next meeting of the organization, which will be June 9th, at which time the entrance fee will be raised In accordance with the by laws which were adopted at the meeting meet-ing of last night. This club will affiliate with theJSTa-tional theJSTa-tional League of Masonic clubs, an organization composed of all the Masonic Ma-sonic clubs of the United States. This will give the local members the privilege priv-ilege of visiting the various Masonic clubs throughout the United States, which courtesy will be extended to foreign members of the national organization or-ganization by the local club. The officers elected for the coming com-ing year are: A. R. Ward, president; J. S. Lewis, vice president, and T. S. Shaughnessy, Shaughnes-sy, secretary-treasurer. oo |
