Show IOGDEIV WOMEN ASK SURE TO CLOSE Customers of Wrights Store Take Much Interest in Early Closing Campaign. Monday this paper carried an announcement an-nouncement from Wrights store, to the effect that the store would be closed Saturday evenings during August Au-gust at 7 o'clock, if the customers of the store desired that time. The announcement included a request that readers telephone to the store or make known their opinion by telling it in the store, Monday and Tuesday the telephone was kept busy with replies re-plies and hundreds of customers expressed ex-pressed their views in the store. Of all the replies received there was but one that did not favor the early closing. The general feeling is well expressed in the words of one lady who Bald, "I am certainly glad to see you take this step and I shall support it in every way at my command. com-mand. I trust that you will decide that 7 o'clock is late enough not only during August but during the entire year as well." CHILDREN ARE TO BE EXAMINED The phlldren's Aid society has arranged ar-ranged for the holding of a welfare examination of children on August 25 and 26, at its free dispensary office, 2459 ; Washington avenue. The hours will be from 10 to 12 a m. each day and children between tho ages of six months and five years will be examined free of charge. In order to take advantage of the free examination, parents must have the children registered and the registration regis-tration days will be from August 7 to 14, Inclusive, between the hours of 2 and 5 p. m at the dispensary.
