Westen was pleasantly surprised at his home. .;42 Bernard I street, March 17. the occasion being . his 71st birthday Mr Westen Is a Civil war veteran and he received many eongratulations from his comrades, com-rades, the G. A. R , and the Ladies of the W R C . and his many friends and neighbors. The erenlng was spirit at High Five and music, and at 11 o'clock a dauit.. luncb was served.
