Pocatello, Idaho, July 8 A general committee meeting of those in charge of the Liberty bell program was held yesterday morning In the Commercial club rooms and all of the details were thoroughly gone over by those in charge. Representing Superintendent D. A. Whitney of the Oregon Short Line, J. F Hassett, chief clerk, stated that the company would spot the car wherever it was desired and" that the company would take charge of the construction of the platform The bell will be in the city on Julv 12 at 9 p. m. and will leave this city at 9:30 for points west. The Oregon Short Line has mad.e a special rate of 2 cents a mile for the occasion and has advertised it extensively. ex-tensively. A parade will start from the Commercial Com-mercial club and march to. the site of the historic emblem at 8:30 o'clock The Spanish War Veterans and tho members of the G. A. R. wm police the car in addition to the special traveling guard. |
