Show TJX MONEY TO BEGIN i TO COI 1 ON NOV. 15. Of tho ?S00,000 In taxes to be collected col-lected by County Treasurer Joseph Storey, only about ?50,000 has been turned in much less than last year at this time. Tho delay io accounted I for, however, by the fact that taxes do I not become delinquent this year until I December 4 and thoy were delinquent I last year Novomber 15. I Another reason why tax payments j have not been very heavy this year, is that little monoy han been paid 1 the fanners for Bugar beets up to this timo. The big pay day will be November 15 and it Is certain that theie will be a line of taxpayers between be-tween the ofi'ces of the Amalgamated Sugti company in the Eccles building build-ing and the treasurer's office in tho court house. There was a pay day in October, but it was very small compared with that which will occur nine days from today. The four factories of the Amalgamated Amalga-mated Sugar company this year will pay about $2,000,000 for beets, and $1,250,000 of the amount will be paid out on tho November pay day. Of this amount $300,000 will be paid to Weber county farmers. Nearly a half million dollars will be distributed De cembar 15, and a small amount Yor residue beets will be paid in January The company this year 'wiJl pay ?5(!i),000 more for beets than last year oc |
