Show BONDS FALL DOE BUT TIME OF PAYMENT IS POSTPONED A letter from the Western Pipe & Steel company of California asking for plans and specifications of the proposed pro-posed new -water main trom Coldwa ter canyon to the munlclpafl artesian wolls near Huntsvllle, was placed on file in the city recorders office. It came before the board of city com-missloncrs com-missloncrs this morning and will be considered again by the board whpn the survey for the ne w pipe liue shall have been completed On the recommendation of Mayor A. O. Fell, the Ogden-Logan ft Idaho Railway company was given permission permis-sion to resurface its roadbed at the Intersections of Twenty-fourth and Twenty-fifth streets and Washington avenue, with two inches of asphaltum. The roadbed was surfaced with concrete con-crete last fall but the material did not "hold up,"' as stated by Manager P. D. Kline of the street car company The company proposed to use asphalt surfacing, under the direction of the city engineer. Clerk I. N. Fulton of the municipal court reported that during the month of March he collected in fineB and forfeitures for-feitures the sum of $449.10. Miscellaneous claims in the sum of $49.29 were allowed, and the auditor directed lo withdraw warrants for the amounts. The petition of tho Ladies' Auxiliary Auxil-iary to the olunteer Veteran Firemen of Ogden, asking permission to uso the commissioners' chamber in tho City hall for meetings on the first Tuesday of each month, at o p. m., was referred to the mayor. An ordinance extending the time for payment of twenty-five 11000 water wa-ter bonds two years, was passed and ordered published in the Standard The bonds come due May 1, 1915, but the commissioners ore desirous of having extended the time for payment pay-ment until May 1, 1917. |
