Show CONFERENCE TO BE RESUMED El Paso, Oct 17 Negotiations for a settlement of the Arizona copper minors' strike were expected to get down to serious business tomorrow. The conference, which adjourned Saturday, Sat-urday, after a brief session for organization, organ-ization, was to start again, this time to take up, one by one, the demands brought from Clifton by the five delegates dele-gates of the Btrlkers. The first subject taken up was expected to be the reinstatement of strikers and discharged men. The miners demand that all tho men who went out on strike be given back their old jobs, and also that the company com-pany reinstate the men who were discharged dis-charged between September 1 and September 11, tho day the strike was called. It was claimed by the strikers that the discharge of several federation organizers was one of the causes which led to the strike. The organ-izers organ-izers were discharged after September Septem-ber 1, and the demand for their e-Instatement e-Instatement was considered one of the vital Issues before the conference. |
