Show Deaths and Funerals VAUGHN Ronald Kanrler Vaughn, the Infant son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Vaughn, died yesterday afternoon at the family home, 630 West Twenty-fourth Twenty-fourth street, of stomach trouble. The "babe waB born January 23, 1915, and had been ill a month. Ho is survived by his parents and the following brothers and sisters: Adrian, Cecil, John, Basil, Roy and Emma, The funeral announcements will bo mado later. BROWN The funeral of Mrs. Emma Em-ma F. Brown, was held yesterday afternoon aft-ernoon at tho Lindquist chapel, with Bishop Thomas D. Powell presiding. The speakers were Bishop E. A. 01-sen, 01-sen, Bishop McJTarland, Bishop Powell Pow-ell and C. J. A. LindquisL Herbert Wade sang "I Know That My Redeemer Re-deemer Liveth" and "Rock of Ages" and Alvin Powell sang "I Need Thee Every Hour." The services waB well attended and many floral tributes were In evidence. Interment was in the city cemetery, Bishop Powell dedicating dedi-cating the grave. MALAN Mrs. Mario Louise Malan died at 1:15 a. m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Krumper-man, Krumper-man, 755 Twenty-fourth street, of general debility. She was born in Piedmont, Italy, April 4, 1830, and came to Utah In 1860, settling in Weber county. On January 11, 1S61, she was married to John D. Malan, who, -with the following children, survive sur-vive her" Henry Malan, Albert Ma-Harriet Ma-Harriet Dissanza, Tho deceased is also al-so survived by 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Malan was an active member of the Mormon Italian converts. The funeral services ser-vices will be held at 2 p. m. in tho Fifth ward meeting house, Bishop James W. Ure officiating. Remains may bo viewed at tho home of Mrs. Krumporman, rear 655 Twenty-fourth Btreet, Sunday afternoon and evening, and Monday until 1 p. m. Interment Ogden City cemetery. Automobile cortege. GREAVES Mrs. Grace Davl3 Greaves died at Preston, Idaho, Monday. Mon-day. November 22. Spinal meningitis meningi-tis was the cause of death. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Roy Davis, formerly of Ogden, and besides her parents, her husband and four children survive; also one sister, Mrs. Thurman JoneB of Binford avenue, Ogden. BESS Oliver C. Bess died yesterday yester-day at 5:30 p m., at 36S Twenty-fourth street. He was born May IS, 1859, at North Ogden and is survived by his wife, five sons and three daughters. The sons are: Oliver W.. CharleB T., R. B Marriott and JohnC. Bess and the daughters are Mrs. A, E. Nichols, Mrs. J. E. Perkins and Miss Emma Bess. Remains were- taken to the Klrkendall chapel to be prepared for shipment to Salt Lako Citv for burial |
