Early in 1909 I 'bought an excursion tlckot to Spokane, Washing, ton. There I found work on a ranch. I was so weak, and had not worked out-side for so many years, that the days seemed as if they would never end. By and by my strength and health car- back and with it an abundance of ambition. Witn these improvements my residence resi-dence was established, "This year I raised 40 acres of fall wheat, 20 acres of spring wheat, 20 acres of oats, and 20 acres of flax. The other 220 acres of tho farm are in pasture. The improvements consist of a house, a barn, a large pond to furnish the horaes with water, a cistern cis-tern at tho house, and a thrco-Trire fence all around the farm.
