Show oo 6QLDFSSH AII0 DE 1LLET01SSFIIH Beyond doubt the most important social function ever yet recorded in the' field of moving picture activity took place in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday, June 12th, when Messers Lasky, Goldfish and De Mille gave an extraordinary dinner, reoptioh and dance in honor of Geialdino Farrar, who has just arrived at the Lasky studios to poBe for a series of photo-dramas, photo-dramas, ThiB dinner took place at the Hollywood Hotel and tho list of important guests readB almost like a roster of the-famous Broadway theatrical theat-rical companies during the height of the season. In fact, the most notable aspect of the dinner is not so much the event itself as the absolutely unparalleled un-paralleled evidence it affords of the manner In which the moving picture art has taken tho legitimate play ere by storm.
