Show Deaths and Funerals -MOORE The funeral of Thomas Moore was held yesterday afternoon in the Hooper ward meeting house, with Bishop James R. Beus presiding. The service was largely attended and many floral offerings were placed upon the bier of tho deceased. The speakers were H. L. Rfgby, James Jardine, Dr. W. R. Emmett, James G. WIddlson, Jr., and Bishop Beus. Tho ward choir sang "Beautiful Isle," "What Voice Salutes?" and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul"; Miss Kate Cox and George Manning sang "Hope Be yond," Mr. Manning sang "He Lov-eth Lov-eth Me," and Miss Eva Rigby sang "O Love Divine." Interment was in the Hooper cemetery, the grave being dedicated by C. J. A. Lindquist. GIBBS Edith Anne GIbbs, wife of Henry W. Gibbs, died last nig"ht at the family residence, 2355 Quincy avenue, ave-nue, of heart trouble. She was born in London, England, August 19, 1883, tho daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Adams, and came to Ogden in her early childhood, residing hore until the time of her death. She is survived by her husband, a 4-year-old daughter, daugh-ter, a brother and a sister. The funeral fu-neral announcements will bo made later. WEST Tho funeral of Mrs. Eliza West was held at Clearfield yesterday, yester-day, the service being conducted by Bishop Heber Blood. BURCH Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Burch will be held Monday at 2 p. in. in the Eleventh ward meeting house, with. Bishop D. H. Ensign presiding. pre-siding. The body may be viewed at tho home, Thirty-eighth street and .Lincoln avenue, tomorrow afternoon and evening. Interment will be in the city cemetery. HUNTER Funeral services for Or-vil Or-vil Hunter will be held Monday at noon in tho Slatenille meeting house, Bishop James SJater presiding. Casket Cas-ket will be open to friends Sunday afternoon and Monday until time of funeral. Interment in Ogden City cemetery. cem-etery. COOK Ida Emdora Cook died at Layton at 12:50 this morning, of valvular val-vular disease of the heart. Miss Cook was born in Layton, May 22, 1897, the daughter of Andrew B. and Amanda Pingree Cook and Is survived by the mother and the (following brothers and sisters; Andrew, Howard, Louis, Jennlo, Verdi and Myrtle. Miss Cook has been an active worker In the L. D. S. church and was a member of tho Ogden High school for two years. She was compelled to quit school work on account of ill health. ftn |
