REV. CHARLES F. AKED UNDER FIRE. The Sacramento Bee evidently is at outs with Rev Charles F Aked for in its last issue it makes this comment: com-ment: "The Rev. Charles F Aked of San Francisco is angry because a committee commit-tee of the San Francisco Advertising Association has given publicity 40 a ireport in which it furnishes its rea-isous rea-isous why some Protestant ministers there preach to empty benches. Among other things he declares: "'Although I am not in the investigation, inves-tigation, and am not referred to in any way, I feel the discredit of the whole situation. I am both angry and grieved. I am not a tout nor a idrummer, nor have I goods to sell. I nm a preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God." "The last time we heard from Aked he wag preaching that Jesus Christ J not the Son of God but only a son of God, the same any of the rest of us only in a higher degree. "This reverend theological vane is a Christian when tho wind is sou' west by west, and a denier of the Christ when it turns nor' east by cast." Rev. Aked is well known in Ogden where he h?.s many friends who admire ad-mire him. He is an aggressive minister min-ister of the gospel and sometimes Coes outside his regular duties to offer of-fer a criticism and as a result makres enemies. Still he is a strong character char-acter and a man to be reckoned with. -oo
