LOOSE FOR STATE CHAIRMAN Salt Lake, July 15 Resolutions wore adopted by the board of managers mana-gers of the Young Men's Republican i club indorsing the resolutions of thc j Young Men's Republican club of Utah county In urging Colonel C. E Loose of Provo to accept the chairmanship of the Republican state committee. The board of managers of the club discussed the matter of a chairman to lead the Republican party in the approaching campaign and many per sons prominent In party work were I mentioned, but all were eliminated with the exception of Colonel Loose, who received the unnuimous vote of the board managers. The resolutions adopted by the board of managers are: "Whereas, The Young Men's Republican Re-publican club of Utah county has suggested sug-gested and recommended the selection selec-tion of the Hon C E Loose of Provo as chairman of the Republican state central committee for the approaching campaign and "Whereas. We recognize the sterling ster-ling finalities of Colonel Loofo and hie ability as displayed in thi6 important im-portant position on a former occasion, therefore be it "Resolved, By the board of man agers of the Young Men's Republican club of Salt Lake county that we cordially approve of the action ac-tion of the Young Mon's Republican j club of Utah county and join in Its hearty recommendation of Colonel C E, Loose for Republican state chpir-man chpir-man and In the urgent request that ho ;. crept the position, pledging our loyal support to him therein "C. m MORRIS. In addition to taking up the matter of a state chairman the board of managers announced the big rally and outing of the Young Men's Re-j Re-j publican club to he held at Snltalr on the afternoon and evening of August I 7 Preparations are being made by I the board of managers to give the I greatest entertainment ever attempt-! attempt-! ed by the club. A committee on arrangements ar-rangements s negotiating with some of the best boxing talent In Salt Lake to f. (ipear at the Hippodrome during the outing There will be two four-round four-round bouts and one six-round bout, according to the present plans. Two high-class wrestling matches are to bo put on In addition The club will secure the best band I obtainable in Salt Lake for the outing The committee w'ill also arrange for dancing, boating and other amusements amuse-ments Everything Is to be free, as it has been heretofore at the outings of the Young Men's Republican club |
