Show 00 MRS. M. S. TAYLOR DIES IN IDAHO The body of Mary Shurtliff Taylor, wife of Pleasant Green Taylor of Harrisvllle. arrived in Ogden this morning and was taken to the family fam-ily home. Mrs Taylor died October 7, at 8 a. m , at Rigby, Idaho, where she was lsltlng relatives. Her death was superinduced by injuries received through a recent fall, a dislocated hip being among them. Mrs. Taylor was bom In Ohio, December De-cember 25, 1S32, and was one of th..-early th..-early Utah pioneers, arriving in the Salt Lake valley In October, 1851. She was one of the first school teachers In the state and was married to Pleasant Green Taylor in 1853. Mrs Taylor was the president of the first primary organization in 1S77 and uas first secretary in the Weber county relief society, having held this posl tion In 1806 Sho was always an ac tive worker in the Mormon church both In ward and stake capacities. She is survived by her husband and the following brothers and Bisters all living in Weber county: L. W Shurtliff. Shurt-liff. Jane S Taylor, Lydia Shurtliff and Elizabeth Stuart. The surviving children are: Amanda M. Marler Lewiston, Utah; Newman C. Taylor' Baker City, Ore.; Albert J Taylor' Gridley, Cal.; Mary Aim Dixon and Ada Spracher, Rigby, Idaho. There are also 44 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren surviving. The funeral is to be hold tomorrow nt 1 p. m in the Harrisville meeting meet-ing house and the body may be viewed at the home in Harrisville until an hour prior to the funeral. The interment in-terment will be made at Harrisville. |
