Show ARLINGTON HOTEL IS SOLD ID MATH AND RHODES "Dan" Ensign and wife yesterday sold the Arlington hotel to E W Mat-son, Mat-son, formerly of this city, but now of New York and P M. Rhodes of Davenport, la., Mr. Rhodes taking charge of the hotel this morning Mr. and Mrs. Matson are expected to return re-turn to Ogden in about two weeks. I Mr. and Mrs Ensign state that they wlll retire from business activities for a while and take a long needed rest They will spend most of their time during the summer in Ogden canyon and plan a trip to New York li i),,, r..ii 'Dan" Ensign has been In the hotel ho-tel business in Ogden the past eleven years and has a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. The Arlington is one of t1? best hotels of the city and under Mr Ensign s proprietorship has been well conducted. The consideration in the deal Is not divulged by either party to the trans, action. Mr Rhodes, who has spent tonsid- j erable time In the hotel business in Los Angeles, states that he looks upon Ogden as among tho progres she cities of the west and he Is pleased to become associated with the business interests here His family will arrive from Iowa in the course of a few weeks |
