Every Precaution that can be made by the war department fur the invasion of Mexico has been perfected Orders have gone out to hurry the construction of seven hundred field pieces which will be necessary under the plan of active operation In Mexico Mexi-co as mapped out by th army war college. Additional mountain artillery artil-lery and ammunition for the mouu-l tan artillery at Vera Crue and for the field artillery there have beeu ordered for shipment to Galveston. Some of theBe munitions are already on the way and more will go forward for-ward on ome of the many transporU which are now being refitted for service ser-vice Id transportation of troop and war supplies. Ar the largest body of troops on the border is concentrated at El Pa-no Pa-no and as reserves can be added to this force, small arms have been sent to thai point.
