Show PAVING NOTICE 10 BE PUBLISHED BY THE CITY This morning the city board of commissioners passed a resolution providing for the pacing of Twenty-fifth Twenty-fifth street west of Washintgon avenue ave-nue and Wall avenue between Twenty-fourth and Twenty-fifth streets, autl the publication of notice of intention in-tention was authorized. The paving also includes the recurblng and guttering gut-tering of the streets. This action whs taken on the recommendation of Street Superintendent Chris Flygare, City Engineer Washington Jenkins and City Attorney Valentine Gideon, to whom the matter was referred yesterday yes-terday morning. Clerk I. N. Fulton of the Municipal court reported fees collected last month In the sum ot 544. The communication from George A, Whitmeyer and Sons, asking that the' company be permitted to build a "lath and plaster light court" In connection with the business and hotel hlock which is In course of construction for the Etcheverry Brothers and John Matia on Wall avenue, near Twenty-fifth Twenty-fifth street, -was referred to the superintendent su-perintendent of streets. In the communication com-munication the company claims that the engineering department has refused re-fused to issue a permit for the court on the grounds that the structure is not in accordance with the provisions of the city ordinances, Mr. Whitmeyer claims that such structures have been erected since the ordinance referred to was passed and ho declares there should be no discrimination. -on |
