Show WE MAN DAS LEG AMPUTATED Salt Lake, March G. While going out in search of work early yesterday yester-day morning Harry Hansen, 23 years of age, son of Mrs. Emma Hansen of 425 West Fifth South street, caught his left foot on the track of the Salt Lake Route railroad at Ninth South and Seventh West street, and before he could free himself a speeding pas-senger pas-senger train ran over him, crushing his left leg from the hip down. Hansen Han-sen was taken aboard the train, which returned to the depot . He was I then rushed to the L, D. S. hospital, where his leg was amputated by Dr. Landcnberger, physician for the Salt Lake Route. Hansen is the only son of his aged mother. He had been out of work since January 1G, according to his mother, although he was ambitious, she said, and he had two or three places for work jn view. He was a part owner several years ago in the corner nows stand business in Salt Lake. Me left home at 7 o'clock yesterday yes-terday morning in company with George Anger of 753. West South Temple street and the two had intended in-tended to Inquire for work at several places. Officials ot the hospital said last night that his chances for ultimate ulti-mate recovery were good. |
