Show oo OXFORD COACH AND OARSMAN RESIGNS Now Haven, Conn , May 26, According Ac-cording to a story printed In The Jour nal-Courier today, Guy NickaJls, the old Oxford oarsmen and coach of the Yale crews, resigned his position on Monday. The reason given for the resignation is friction between Mr Nlckalls and members of the Yale rowing committee, over the result of the Blue'B showing In the race at Lake Cayuga last Saturday. In this race Yale was defeated by Cornell and Princeton, The English rigged shell with its thole pins and horizontal slides, which has been in use by the Yale oarsmen Blnce the arrival of Coach Nlckalls, was abandoned by them today for an American rigged boat, with oarlocks and inclined slides.
