Show Society GUESTS AT PARTY. .Mr. and .Mrs. J. W. Palmer and Mr, and Mrs. H. Day and their daughter Annie, of Ogden, were guests at a prettily appointed party given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Ewer, Jr., last Monday evening at their home in Evanston, Wyoming. RETURN FROM VISIT. Mrs. L B. Best and daughter Violet Vio-let of this city have returned after spending the holidays with Mrs. J H. Case of Evanston, Wyoming. GUESTS IN EVANSTON, WYO. Mrs. H. Mrs. Uowns will entertain the auxiliary of the Spanish War Veterans and their friends at her home, 129 Twenty-seventh street. DAUGHTER OF MR. AND MRS. FRANK HOWE. The announcement of the marriage of Miss Fannie Howe and Mr Jay Kobbins in Saturday's Issue of The Standard gave the bride as the daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Howe, which was incorrect. Mrs. Robbins is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Howe of this city. HISTORICAL SOCIETY. Mrs, Edward Blchsel was hostess to the Historical Society on Saturday, at her home, 718 Twenty-fifth Street The afternoon's program was in charge by Mrs A. B. Corey, who gave an entertaining paper on "Folk Lore and Songs." Mrs. A. P. Hunter gave a short outline of the early folk songs, and Miss Ada Moran sang several of these early songs. N A social hour with refreshments was enjoyed by all Mrs Clayton Coolidge was the guest of the afternoon. after-noon. RETUNS FROM EAST. After a pleasant visit with Miss Beverlv Walker of Salt Lake.
