Show ft j EXERCISES AT THE INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL The Sunday morning service at the State Industrial school was made exceptionally ex-ceptionally interesting yesterday by an address by Castle Murphy. Mr. Murphy returned last summer from a mission to the Hawaiian Is lands and his address was upon the subject of Hawaii, Its people and their customs. In his talk, Mr. Mur phy showed that his observations while in the islands were still fresn in his memory . H toUl of the geographical geog-raphical features, the ancient and modern ways of living, and plant life, and of the traditions and hopes of Hawaii's people. Of especial Interest Inter-est to all was a display given b the. speaker, of his large and varied collection col-lection of native tools. A fine musical program was given in addition to Mr. Murphy's address. Those taking part were Oertel and Cleone Rich and Robert Greenwell, soloists, so-loists, and a mixed quartet composed of Sarah WilliamB, Bessie Williams Millard, Gerard Klomp and Joseph Williams. nn |
