Show SAYS HE WOULD HAVE SHOT BRAMWELL The shooting scrape at the Carnival grounds on Thursday evening was rein re-in .u sed in Judge W. H Reeder's court this morning William Bramwell was Charged With disturbing the peace and George Allen had a complaint of carrying car-rying concealed weapons against him Both pleaded guilty In explaining their actions on that night, ihe judge had them stick to the events as they transpired at the grounds and the stories of the two differed materially Bramwell claimed that he sought to speak with Allen upon a subject of interest to both and Allen refused at the same time moving his hand toward his hip pocket. Bramwell declared de-clared he thought Allen had a gun bo he attacked him, striking Allen twice before the gun was discharged and others had rushed In to separate the two. Allen claimed he was walking in the grounds when he was struck by Bramwell without provocation and that he pulled the gun and shot. Growing warm, as he related the incident, in-cident, Allen declared that, had he not been down on the ground, he would have put a bullet into Bramwell. Bram-well. Judge Reeder will pass sentence on Monday morning. oo |
