Show City Council An adjourned session of the city council was held last Friday uight, Mayor Croft presiding. Couucilmen present, Salmon, Beard and Clark The council was in session but a very short time and it was decided de-cided to meet Monday, Oct. 23 to discuss the matter of fixing the light rate, the recorder to find out if poisible the rates paid in other cities after which the council adjourned. Mr. Thomas sent in a list of supplies needed and the recorder was authorized to purchase the same. Hovee! and seconded that, Salmon he authorized to buy necessary poles. f The following were appoitcd judges of election: Nineteenth ditr.c-C. U-Jones, U-Jones, Krank Hobion, C. A. Callis. Twentieth jlrstrict Archie Huchaimn, Joseph Warbn'ton, D. Sonimersi The recorder was instructed to notify judges and to notify mayor if they would not serve. The following resolution was ottered by Heard, all members concurring therein: That the flat rate be 50c for a 16 candle power light per month and 13 cents for k. w. hr. for metre and that the miniuutn price be i. on per metre per mouth, and that a discount will be allowed oa quantity purchased said discount to be hereafter determined. de-termined. Recorder instructed to wire to the Wire & Smelter Supply Co., and urge them to forward supplies at once. v Adjourned .to next Monday night. |
