BURGESS No o matter what the world may say ay Somehow somewhere you'll find a way Cubby the Bear Farmer Brown Mother Brown anc and Farmer Browns Brown's Boy ate their break break- breakfast breakfast fast and while they were eating it dis discussed cussed plans for catching Cubby th the mischievous little Bear Dear who was o on top of or the house You will remember that Farmer Browns Brown's Boy had placed placeda placeta a ladder for lor Cubby to come down anc and had tempted him with cookies But Bu Cubby had refused to come down That Tha ladder was waa so placed that as Farmer Browns Brown's Boy sat at the breakfast ta table ta hi- hible ble he could keep an eye on the lad lad- der He had left the cookies a little way out irom from the ladder It would b be Impossible for Cubby to come dew dawn that ladder and not be seen Alter After breakfast Farmer Browns Brown's Bo goy floy went out He looked look d toward the place where he had left the cookies The Th cookies were not there He rubbed h heyes his eyes twice to make sure Now from where he had sat at the table h he could watch the ladder but he couldn't couldn see the cookies lea He hadn't thought It necessary to watch the cookies as well sell wella as an a the ladder Now that the cookies were ere gone he didn't didn't- know what to tomake tomake make of U.
