NO EXCURSION THIS YEAR salt lake jan 25 at the regular rehearsal of tho tabernacle choir lart evening it was finally decided that an excursion would not be taken to call this season ns contemplated preliminary arrangements had been made or a trip to ios I os angeles thence up the coast to san francisco and homo by way of sacramento the tart be made on march 19 it is n well known fact that the majority or the choirs members are so situated in regard to their employment that it Is a difficult matter for them to get a leave af absence at such ft time ot the year and as a consequence corn pa few were enrolled for the trip about jn all whan consulted on the subject the farst presidency while being heartily in favor of such a movement considered that it would bo advisable to postpone the excursion until such a time as at least a majority of the singers could go pi of stephens therefore decided that such action would be taken and the members present last evening endorsed the becis ion arrived at
