ON CHRISTMAS DAY with the ringing of the christmas bells good should hold sway in every home in ogden there should be happiness christmas time it is our prayer that not a family la all athla section will bo unhappy owing to poverty this is one period in the year whoa want must be banished some borrows cannot be driven away there are como heartaches that cannot be alleviated but tho wolf of hunger can be banished and to that end we feel most of us have striven during the last few week while searching out the needy and directly or indirectly extending aid when the youngsters hurry aiom their beda on christmas morning will there be one unfilled stocking in all this city will santa claus forget even one little child we hope not we hope that the children will be fillol with joy and their parents made happy with the good things i of this world forgetting for he day those incidents in lifes struggle that are out of harmony with the universal reiola ing we will cast off the of business and the thoughts of heavy burdens and give way to the spirit of cheerfulness knowing well that a little diversion ot that kind must do us good whether we are potentates with tho destinies of a nations depending upon us or just plain ordinary mortals with no greater perplexities than the uncertainty of a livelihood
