LEWIS LAND PURCHASED last piece of property to be obtained by railroad the acquiring of a part of lot 9 block 7 from robert n lewis by the rio grande western railroad company gives to that company a through right of way from twenty first street to twenty fourth street between wall and lincoln avenues the deed transferring the property was filed this morning in the county recorders office and la the result of the settling out of court of the condemnation proceedings instituted by the company to acquire the property when the gould people were purchasing land tor their new freight yards and other improvements which they contemplate making mr lewis refused to sell bis property as tho section wanted by the company took a considerable piece oft his coal yards and be did not think it to his advantage to sell since then the company instituted condemnation proceedings to acquire the property mr lewis was again asked to cell and the deal was consummated the gould people have now ah of the land that they need for their improvements prove ments and have acquired it all without
