Show I TWO UTAH GIRLS FORCED TO FLEE FROM FLAMES Kaysille, Sept. 5 A telegram received re-ceived by John R. Barnes yesterday bore information that his talented daughter, Miss Hazel Barnes, contralto, contral-to, who won first prize at the National Nation-al Eisteddfod In Salt Lake, and her sister, Miss Martha 10. Barnes, had to flee from flamos which destrovod part of Ocenn Park, Cal., yesterday. The young women were summering at tho Dudley apartments in Ocean Park. When tho fire broke out it was feared the flames would sweep the apartment house. Gathering up onlv a few of their effects tho Misses Barnes left Ocean Park and went to Los Angeles. Upon their arrival at Los Angeles i they telegraphed their father of tho 'fire and that they were safe in Los (Augeles. -Mr. Barnes wired his daughters of having mailed them a crraft nnd asking for particulars Sri Miss Hazel Barnes returned to her i5 , homo last year from Paris, where she LR had sludiod music and voico culture.
