Show STATE PIONEER OE BRIGHAM DEAD Brigham City, July 2. Funeral services for Jacob Nelson, who died at his homo in this city Sunday morning, wero held yesterday afternoon after-noon at the family home on North Main street. Nelson had been a sufferer suf-ferer for many weeks, during the greater part of that time being confined con-fined to his bed. He was born In Copenhagen, Denmark, eighty-one years ago, joined the Mormon church forty years ago and emigrated to Utah. He was a veteran of the Danish-German war and was entitled to a pension from the Danish government, but he could never be persuaded to make application for the same, showing show-ing remarkable unselfishness, for he would remark that the Danish government gov-ernment had all the expense she needed without paying pensions to her sons who had come to the new world, established homes and wero ablo to support themselves Mr. Nelson Is survived by a widow and six children, Harry Nelson, now of Long Beach, Cal , Carl Nelson. Hot Springs. Hans Nelson and the Misses Emma Nelson. Freda Nelson and Hilda Hil-da Nelson of this city. |
