Stone. 3ergeant-at-arms for tho Republican national convention, today began the organization of the force of aides with which he will work at the convention. conven-tion. Ho selected Edward P. Thayer of Indiana as first assistant sorgeant-at-arms and named John J. Hanson of Maryland chlof doorkeeper. at least 800 assistants will be employed em-ployed by the sorgeant-at-arms Tho force will include 100 doorkeepers; 400 assistant sergeant-at-anns, and 200 ushers. Already thousands of applications ap-plications for positions have been received re-ceived by Mr. Stone nnd he Is busy nlasBlfying them according to their fitness. The Coliseum will be turnod over to the national committee May 27, and Architect Arthur G.
