Show Society CALEDONIAN PARTY. Tucsdaj- evening last tho Ogden Caledonian society gave its last concert con-cert and dance of the season in Stein-way Stein-way hall. A fine musical program was rendered. Selection by orchestra, Scotch medley med-ley Duet, "O Restless Sea," Miss J. Thorstenson and Roy Robinson. Recitation, MIsb Belle Henderson. Solo, "Loch Lomond," Miss Jean Benzie, followed by "The Laird o' Cockpen." which was well rendered Matt Gait, in a few choico words, praiBed Miss Benzie for her sweet singing, remarking that none could sing a Scotch song so well as a native na-tive born Scotch girl, and that Miss Benzie has endeared herself to all Scottish hearts and a good many American Am-erican hearts, too by her sweet disposition dis-position and her fine talents. Wishing Wish-ing her a hearty "Godspeed" on her journey to her native land, and hoping hop-ing Bhe would return to enjoy the beauties of Ogden and its canyon. While enjoying the beauties of Scotland, Scot-land, he hoped she would remember the friends she had made here and return sometime. Dancing followed until midnight, including in-cluding an exhibition of Highland flng dancing by Miss Nellie Llddell. Refreshments were served. On Saturday evening at S o'clock he pipers' band of Salt Lake will parade pa-rade in full Highland uniform and many will come out to see the kilties. MISS BREWER'S RECITAL. BIRTHDAY PARTY Mrs. Burnetta Wllfong was greatly surprised last Thursday evening at her home, 612 Seventh street, when thirty of her friends walked in upon her. AMERICAN WOMAN'8 LEAGUE A called meeting of the American Woman's League "was held on Friday evening at the residence of Mrs. H. M. Barrows, 972 Twenty-third street, to discuss an Important communication communica-tion from General E. C. Madden. As a result of this communication a lecture lec-ture -will shortly bo given for the purpose pur-pose of informing the public on matters mat-ters relating to the Lewis case.
