Show 060 HIGH LOSES 10 UTAHFRESHIES BY H. H. SPENCER, JR. The Unierslty of Utah freshmen defeated the Ogden high school yes-tordav yes-tordav by a score of 10 to 3. As the score Indicates, the game waB by no moans easy for elthor side, although both teamB wore able at different times to mako very large gains The Utah freshmen outweighed the jocal boys, and after Ilagbart Anderson, Jr , was taken out on account of receiving re-ceiving an injury on the nose, thoro was a dificronco in Ogden's lino. The team work on the part of Ogden Og-den was tho very best, and the back field found their holes The interference interfer-ence on tho part of tho freshmon hack flold was exceptional At tackles Douglas and Checketts wore very strong in both tho offense and defense; de-fense; Browning nnd Shupo at guards put up a strong fight, Allen and Mor-rissey Mor-rissey at, ends were able to make good gains when carrying the pigskin, while forwards to Symlh were great gainers In the back field Moran, Rc-berg, Rc-berg, Stowe, Evans and Tribe were always in the game. For the Utah freshmen Captain Goodspeed, Glasmann and Vcasy were tho strong men of the team Captain Goodspeed was a consistent yard gainer gain-er Worthman, McCarthy and Glas mann also made good During the first five minutes of play the freshies run the orange and black boys off their feet on fake plays which wore great? yard gainers. In the second quarter both sides did a great deal of punting. In the third quarter Ogden Og-den took a brace, going down the field for seventy yards on downs, Moran scoring three points on a field goal. The fourth quarter ended with the ball in Ogden's possession. Game in Detail. Ogden won the toss and chose to defend the west goal.
