Show OK) WORK ON THE RSVERDALE PLANT Representatives of the Davis and Wober Counties Canal company state that tho work of erecting tho power plant at Riveddale on Wober river, ly, tho only delay bolng caused by tho inability to get material on the gorund. When completed, tho plant will have a capacity of 5,750 horse power which will be generated from tho waters wat-ers of tho canal. Tho reservoir capacity of tho big canal project has been enlarged to the point whero amplo water for power purposes will be furnished and at tho samo time thero will bo plenty of water for the irrigated lands under tho canal. The Irrigation season of the year is only a short time In the summer. Tho contract for placing tho penstock pen-stock from the canal to tho power plant has been let to oRy Sheedy who will begin work on the Job within a few days. The penstock will consist of two steel pipes a half mile long, one to be 7 feet G inches In diameter, the other 5 feet 6 IncheB. Tt Is a heavy piece of work and tho pipes will be handled w'Tth derricks, operated opera-ted by steam. Tho copany expected to havo tho machinery ready for operation June 1 this year, but due to delays in getting get-ting material on tho ground.
