In woolen goods, western jobbers report improved conditions and are buj Ing more freely in tho primary markets. In over-coatings, chinchillas, Shet-1 lands and mixed and rough goods aro I well taken. New rough woolens In i suitings aro ordered and some mills have closed up and withdrawn. In dress goods, the demand for nearby shipment of serges, whipcords, and fancies Is noticeable Silks are In more liberal demand. Visiting footwear buyers have operated op-erated liberally In 6prlng and summer goods in the Boston market and a fair business is being received through traveling salesmen.
