Show BONE BROKEN j IN TEAMING ACCIDENT Lovell H, Gibson, a teamster in tho I employ of C F. Grout, was tho victim vic-tim of a pocullnr accident at 5:30 Wednesday evening. He Is now at street, suffering severely of a broken rib and Injury to the breast bone. The young man was standing behind be-hind tho wagon seat, while driving up Twenty-second street, near the corner cor-ner of Adams avenue. He turned his team close to the curb to avoid tlie Twenty-second street car. In making the turn, tho rear wheels of tho wagon slipped into the gutter, suddenly twisting tho wagon In such a manner that young Gibson was thrown against the seat with great force. He quickly recovered his balance, bal-ance, however, and displaying rare grit, diove to tho Grout stable, put up his team, walked to the office of Dr. Green, who attended to his Injuries, In-juries, after which he walked to his home. Yesterday ho was suffering extreme pain, but Is somewhat better bet-ter today. Gibson Is a member of the local I. O. O. F. and Moose lodges, and tho local Ralyway Carmen's union. |
