Show CAPTURE OF TWO LAlffi WILDCATS Tsham Jasperson, during the paBt few days, has succeeded In trapping two fine specimens of the wildcat family It is said that tho animals aro large ones and that it is quite likely that the larger one of tho two is the animal the street car men saw a fow days ago and mistook for a mouutain Hon, The cats have- been bothering hen- houses near tho Hermitage hotel for some tlmo past and Mr. JnHperson, who is a trapper and fisherman of no mean ability, started out to capture them. Both animals were caught within with-in a few days. Those familiar with the habits of tho wildcats in tho vicinity of the Hermitage say that they visit the river riv-er frequently for water and that it is not unusual in the fall of the year ro see them near the car tracks. The wildcat is a vicious animal, and a large one standing at a distance on an elevated place, might have tho appearance ap-pearance of a mountain Hon. It is thought that there are no lions in tho icinity of the Hermitage |
