Harry Frank, 13-year-old son of Arthur Frank 216 East Third South street was struck and seriously Injured about the head and chest by a taxlcab driven by W. E. Whlto last night at about 7 o'clock. The accident happened while the wind was blowing the snow in every dliecilon and before the sleet on the I streets had frozen. Young Frank was ' ilding eastward on Third. South street on his bicycle. White was traveling in tho same direction. The snow had caked and clung io the face of the wlndguard of the automobile, auto-mobile, making It almost opaqne. Owing to the falling snow and the I obscured glass of tho windtfuard I White did not see the boy riding In front of him. He felt the impact as the blcyle and automoblde camo together to-gether and heard tiio boy cry ouL The Injured boy was carried to bis homo and Dr. II. B 8praguo was Hum-moued. Hum-moued. On tho cheBt was found a deep wound and there was Internal Injury In the abdomen After dressing tho bov's wounds. Dr. Sprague oxpresed the opinion that he would recovor. However, he was not held. ; Tlmre wore a number of witnesses ' to the accident, among whom was S. M. Solomon. All eyowltnesses say that White's machine was traveling , rapidly, but that he had slowed, down i at the crossing.
