Show PGLICEJOIT Trouble arlBing from the efforts of Samuel Krelnes to collect a month's liouse rent from Harry H Armstrong, who resides on the Canyon road, resulted re-sulted In the former being assessed a fine of 15 and costs by .Tudgo J. D. Murphy this morning. Krelnes was charged -with disturbing the peace. Krelnes was acting as agent for a Salt Lake woman, who had made I another arrangement with her tenant Armstrong. When teh latter refused to pay the rent, Armstrong, his wle and a neighbor testified that Krelnes became abusive, using vile language and threatenirig to attack his tenant Thoro was no prosecuting witness i and no city attorney present in the police court when Ray Belnap was arraigned ar-raigned on a charge of having obtained ob-tained pioperty under false protenses from the Weber Electric company and the case was dismissed. A. E. Lawrence, Law-rence, manager of the company, had sworn to a complaint against Bel-nap. Bel-nap. Louis Johnson stood trial on a charge of disturbing tlie peace and was fined $5 and costs. Charles Ken-drickson. Ken-drickson. charged with unlawful drunkenness, and Grace Roy, a vag-iant, vag-iant, forfeited, their bonds. Tho charge of vagrancy netted J. S. Joseph Jo-seph a $10 fine and D. C. Gerrett was assessed half this amount for drunkenness. drunk-enness. On account of the injury to City Jailer Hagbart Anderson, who is the chief witness for the city, the case of T. W. Hutton, the druggist who is charged with selling liquor on Sunday, Sun-day, was continued until Monday, Dec. 4, at which time it is expected that tho city officer will be able to appear in court. oo |
