Show TRIP MADE ON SNOW SHOES Rev. Frank W. Bralnerd, Arthur Perkins and E, L. Elmore took a snow shoe trip yesterday up Warm Springs canyon, over the divide and back down Twenty-fourth street. Leaving the Sanitarium at about 1:30, tho party went up Warm Springs canyon to the head of the canyon ani from this point climbed straight up. This climb in the summer would take ten or fifteen minutes, but over thc snow, which was from a foot and a half to two feet deep, It took them over an hour. On reaching thc summit, sum-mit, the party encircled the top and, descending on the other side, reached homo about 5 o'clock. It was Mr. Elmore's first experience with snow shoeing and climbing a slope as steep as the one they went up on snow shoes 14 inches by four feet Is no mean feat for an experienced experi-enced snow shoer. oo |
