Show OCTEN APPLE GOES TO A . SHOW J. Edward Taylor, secretary of the state board horticulture, has purchased pur-chased of Charles J. Adams of River-dale River-dale five cases of "Black Twig" apples ap-ples and shipped them to Los Angeles to be placed on exhibition at tho land show there. The apples are said to be the finest specimens of .that fruit In the entire country. The exhibit from Mr Adama' farm should place Utah In the forefront fore-front In apple culture. Mr Adams snys he does not fear competition from any of the western or northwestern north-western states on apples. The apples that are shipped to Los Angeles are of a dark red color and so large that from 72 to 96 of them flil a box The flavor of the fruit Is unexcelled and tho firmness of tho apple makes it a good winter apple , Mr Adams has exhibited his apples In eastern shows, receiving the high-es high-es compliments |
