Show ROBLEY EVANS STILL LOVES THE SEA Chicago, Jan. 16. "I haven't been able to find out yet what contentment a life ashore seems to yield to so many people," said Rear Admiral Hob-ley Hob-ley D. Evans, as ho rested in Chicago Chica-go yesterday between trains. "For two years I havo been trj ing to figure It out. I have lost mysolf in a maze of business enterprises, but changing money never can take the place of the old time at sea I intend to move my residence from Washington to Ca'ifnrnia where most of my newly acquired interests are. There I shall build me a home by the ocean. "There is no job on earth to compare com-pare with that of commanding a fleet of battleships. Presidents come and they go, but the admiral goes on as long as the pension system admits, irrespective of the ups and downs of politics ashore." - |
